Pachamama Nueva backs right up to the Gandoca Manzanillo Wildlife Refuge, which is a treasured and protected area known for its beauty and biodiversity.

Punta Uva is a beach area, part of the greater Puerto Viejo de Talamanca region. The area is known in the surfing community for the biggest and most powerful wave in Costa Rica, known as Salsa Brava. Punta Uva is situated between the beautiful beaches of Playa Chiquita and Manzanillo, just 20 minutes from the Panamanian border in southern tip of Costa Rica. The temperature ranges throughout the year between 81 to 86° (26 to 30°C ) and the water itself, is not only the perfect temperature for swimming, it’s crystal clear aquamarine color is transfixing.

There are a number of excellent restaurants within walking distance or a short 5 to 15 minute drive along Punta Uva, Playa Chiquita, Cocles and into the colorful Caribbean town of Puerto Viejo. Enjoy live music, shopping and services in Puerto Viejo and a fun nightlife atmosphere.

Bicycles can be rented for a nominal fee daily or weekly. There is parking on site for your car. Taxis and TukTuks can take you around the area for a nominal price.

Enjoy use of our kayaks which can be taken from our private entrance to the Ernesto River, which calmly meanders toward the sea.
